Normalisation connects a signal to a hierarchy: site → line → machine → parameter. The value is accompanied by a timestamp, unit and quality indicator. History supports analysis over a selected period.
Connection to the workflow
A deviation may trigger a notification, inspection or service task. The rules matter: who receives the event, what data they see and how they confirm the outcome. This connects monitoring with the team's actual work.
Start with an assessment
A pilot requires source access, a register map or API, transmission frequency and the required metrics. The boundaries between observation and control automation are agreed separately. The usefulness of one unit can then be tested before extending the solution.
